These Terms of Use apply to SudoDB on Android. By using the app, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The app

SudoDB lets you save database connections and browse PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, MongoDB, and SQLite from your device. It is offered by SudoCod. The app does not require a SudoCod account. Sessions run from your device to hosts or local files you configure (JDBC for relational engines and SQLite; the MongoDB Java driver for MongoDB).

The app is freemium. You can install it and use core read-only browsing without paying. Optional SudoDB Pro features are unlocked through Google Play. A contextual paywall (modal bottom sheet) appears when you tap a Pro-only action; you can dismiss it and continue on the Free tier.

SudoDB Pro (subscription and lifetime)

Free tier limits:

  • Up to two saved connections
  • Engines: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQLite
  • Browse and Structure only — cell values can be inspected; Save, DDL, and procedure Run are Pro
  • SQL Server and MongoDB connections cannot be created or opened on Free (saved tiles stay on the dashboard)

SudoDB Pro removes those limits (unlimited connections; SQL Server and MongoDB; cell edits you Save; DDL scripts; procedure Run). Pro is sold through Google Play as:

  • an auto-renewing monthly subscription (sudodb_pro_monthly, base plan sudodb-pro-monthly),
  • an auto-renewing yearly subscription (sudodb_pro_annual, base plan sudodb-pro-annual), or
  • a one-time lifetime unlock (sudodb_pro_lifetime, Buy option sudodb-lifetime-buy).

There is no free trial. Displayed prices load from Play Billing and may vary by country or storefront. Purchases are covered by Google Play’s standard refund policy.

  • Payment is handled by Google, not by SudoCod directly.
  • Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew unless you cancel in Google Play subscription settings before the renewal date. Lifetime is not a subscription and does not renew.
  • Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
  • Restore purchases (Settings or the Pro paywall) unlocks Pro only when Google Play reports an active monthly or yearly subscription or an owned lifetime purchase for this Google account. Debug unlock is available in debug builds only and is never granted by Restore.
  • After a device backup or transfer, Pro is not restored from the backup file. Use Restore or a live Play check.

Your responsibilities

  • Use the app only for database systems you are authorized to access and in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Choose trustworthy hosts and secure credentials on those systems. Row previews, filters, cell edits you Save, and procedure Run execute against hosts or local files you select — not SudoCod. For MongoDB, values you Save keep their BSON type when known (for example Date, Code, Regex); binary and Code-with-scope fields are not text-editable.
  • Keep your device secure. Anyone with unlocked access may be able to view stored connections and query output.
  • After device backup or restore, re-check Play for Pro and re-create saved connections when required.

Store terms

Your use of Google Play billing is also governed by the applicable Google Play terms for your account.

Changes

We may update these terms when the app or subscription model changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
